Don't wait for 2023

Remember what happened to the folks that went to frontier. 401k,s are a non entity.

As the old saying goes - "never count your chickens before they're hatched"

100% in company stock for their general dividend over 32 years. I get over $50,000 a year extra. No fees and the stock has never really went down substantially to warrant any great concern. BTW does everyone check the high fees on some of the investment choices for a measly 1-2% gain. All negated with high fees. Do your own DD

If you accept a package be aware. Verizon stonewalls until the times up for you to collect.

If someone lost a half of their 401k, then they must be heavily invested in company stock. One of the top rules of 401k investing is not to load up on company stock, you are already indebted to the company for your job, don't be indebted to them for your nest egg. Sounds like some folks made some really poor investment decisions...

Don't wait for 2023? LOL. Even if a company sale were announced you would have well over a year for it to be approved and finalized. You think it wise to jump out now, ahead of some forever rumored sale of the Company? OK, you leave today. I will wait and see what happens. If you think you’re good at giving advice, here’s a hint— you’re not.

So the lesson is don’t leave your 401k all in the company stock or are you saying frontier took money away from them?

You go ask our brothers in Vermont, west Virginia, California. More than half of 401k values are gone. See how happy they are right now.

Wow this sure sounds typical doom and gloom “phone company”
Let me shine a light. I’ve been with this for 30+ years. I’ve heard “this is the end” every single contract year. C’mon, The first week I was hired all us new hires were being told that too many were hired and half were going to be let go. Didn’t happen. 2023 is just another contract year and already “this is the end” of wireline.
Here’s a not so bold prediction: 2023 is going to come and go, and by one minute after a contract is signed, 2026 will be the new end of the world.
Relax.
