The company communicated 4% cost reduction overall, but that’s obviously an average. Many teams are cutting much deeper. I’m hearing 10% budget reduction for my team, which translates to a 10% reduction in headcount. Going to be another bloodbath, and will negatively impact operations.
This hire fire circus, TI in Dallas has been doing that cycle for decades, it works, at least for them, is it Hell on the employees? Yes, yet, they have people who have worked there for 20, 30, 40+ years
so business as usual. they will probably cut 4% and hire another 10% fresh out of college and then next year they will have to cut 6% and do it all over again. not a way to run a company IMO.
but make sure you make your manager feel like they can win with you so don't get cut. lol can't write it with a straight face.
