After almost 20 years with DIRECTV/AT&T, today is my 1st day as an Accenture employee. I have to say, I'm more than happy to have been outsourced. I feel much more secure in my job than the folks left behind - MVO and 1st quarter surplus (the most inhumane term ever for reduction in headcount). AT&T statement - 4% reduction next year in labor costs - apparently people are not the most important asset.

You are only in the honeymoon phase and buying the Bs kool Aid. Get your resume up to snuff, have money saved and don’t sit on your heals. Network like crazy immediately.
Expect that your last day will be in one year. This is how these type of contracts work. If you log into your Accenture portal take a look at your profile it will tell you when your contract is suppose to expire.
Don't be deluded that employees are the most important asset for Accenture.
Trust no one.
Stay up to date on your job skills training. Way in the past I heard of employees being pushed into being a contractor. Little over a year after being a contractor the contracting company laid them off. Turns out their employee years of service went with them to the contracting company but after a year as a contractor those years were no longer valid (something like that) Once on the contracting company payroll for a year they no longer had they many years of service and were laid off with minimal severance. (don't trust anyone, you and only you can look out for YOU) BTW: I was laid off from AT&T Mar 2019 w/20.75yrs of service. Still have not found a job....only things I find are LOW pay jobs. BUT......I'm hopeful.
