Did you request MVO? Wondering how many have?

there is a rumor that the company is considering moving towards a 2month pay (max) severance in the near future instead than the current 6month (max) to match what other companies do.
at this point, i think getting laid off may be a blessing but its not something that you can control. accepting this mvo offer is
I took it. I am just done. I am fully pension and benefits eligible. I have done this work all of my adult life, 22 years of it with AT&T. It used to be a great career. I have other things to do with my life. Best of luck to all. I have only heard of a few people that took it. So I hope me leaving saves one of my younger coworkers.
"the problem is you may not get laid off. You might just be outsourced instead with no severance pay".
In the space I am in, I feel pretty good about that not happening (outsourcing). But I fully realize that folks that have recently had that happen to them may have felt similarly. I'm going to take my chances, not taking MVO, actually kind of hoping for surplus this coming year, as I have had about enough of this. But I will stay until then.
Feutsche guaranteed there will be layoffs in the first quarter today during his Townhall. Not enough take on the MVO which is not surprising since the MVO s—ed and didn’t offer any incentive to take it.
@rjv, the problem is you may not get laid off. You might just be outsourced instead with no severance pay.
"Doesn't matter. Not enough people took it. Layoffs will be coming first quarter. FACT.".
Sure. But you know what? Lay me off.
I sent it in yesterday. I’m exhausted . Stupid collaboration zones, constant threat of involuntary surplus and not enough people doing the work so yeah I’m done. On to a new chapter. Maybe I saved someone else’s job. That would be nice.
Doesn't matter. Not enough people took it. Layoffs will be coming first quarter. FACT.
I sent the email yesterday and am taking it. The joy of no more of these douchey all hands meetings with these t–d infomercial VPs of nothing that matters, the bs worthless training, and never having to hear CP (contingency planning) anything again makes this feel so, so great.
Taking it - Glad to have the offer and move on
@ -ksz, incorrect, there are certain departments that are in ATO that are excluded from the recent ATO wide sent MVO offer, hence, those did not get contacted with an MVO offer to apply for
12klvSKd-red the MVO was offered to ALL ATO, no exclusions
We have one engineer in planning who was going to quit anyway so took MVO to pick up the severance package. He’s been here 5 years and is going back to his old company, sick of the poor leadership at AT&T.
I thought that if your in ATO, and that you had been offered an MVO, is the only way to take advantage of it. The way your question is posed, as well as other recent posts, suggest that if you're in ATO, that you go out on your own and request an MVO. That's not how it works as my understanding. It must be offered to you first, and then it's up to you to take it. If you apply to take it under this circumstance, you're going to get it. You just can't go out and ask for it. In years past, I have been in areas that were hit with the MVO offer, those that it was not extended too, asked for it, and were denied (only later to be be off'ed by surplus).
