Especially her response on telecommuting. Quite a few questions about that obviously! And what did she mean about Tiers?...and what was already in place??

Interesting, I guess I was an id–t for moving to a new location to keep my job when it appears now that all the WFH BS is an old issue and policies going back to what they used to be, so now I go into an office 3 days a week and no one is there anyway, I am fine with policies if they are consistent, for 6 months later to so, ooops just kidding about mandatory in office and no WFH.
You may or may not agree or heard it like I did.....She opened up a can of worms when she said something like this....
- If I want to watch one of the nephews games, I go to Florida the night before and work from Florida...we are all adults here....
hmmm, that is partially why we are in the situation we are with WFH – people not working from their alternate work location – some id–ts working for long periods of time from other states and I know for a fact in our org there was at least one working from another country.
My takeaway is she will last less than a year.
Glad she is no longer in my leadership group, not a big fan.
Main takeaways
- MK recognized the criticism received for project collaboration in her previous role. She spoke with with VB and there will be no further implementation in her new role.
- Her biggest challenge will be decreasing the workforce while maintaining network reliability and compliance.
- No changes in telecommuting. It remains up to your manager. If you have a role where you need to be in the office, that has not changed. If you are in a role where you can either sometimes or full time work from home, again, no change. She is NOT looking into it further.
- She hopes to reduce enough headcount with the mvo, if not, forced reductions will occur next year.
She said if numbers don't meet in mvo, forcefully reduction next year.
