Well, 3buz, if we're so naive, why don't you clue us in? Love to hear what you got.

Why do I feel like that name is eerily accurate?

You have to understand - what most of the people in marketing want to do is just stick their heads in the sand, pretend the scandals are behind us, and proceed as if this was 2015. And that’s just what they’re doing.

I don't see the point of doing anything with Marketing until the company cleans up its act once and for all. Most of the senior people should be fired and the other people should just keep the lights on. There is no point in redesigning horsey logos and running stupid ads when your customers don't trust you to do very basic things right. Fix that first - then maybe try to get your brand out of the 1890s.

Moldofsky has been “improving “ things for 3-4 years now. All was supposed to be well by 2020.

Meanwhile it just gets worse and worse.

More cumbersome processes, more pointless and time-wasting meetings, more of her robotic and useless friends from Schwab.

She needs to go, the ad agency needs to go, the in-house creative department definitely needs to go, and then hopefully Scharf can start fishing the New York marketing talent pool.

What we have now is what’s left after the local tech industry scoops up anybody with talent.

The writing is on the wall.
Moldafsky is definitely out.
She is in SF and totally incompetent.
She's also responsible for the current, horror show business model.
She's having desperation meetings this week and next, asking her DRs how to improve things.
Why are you scrambling and finally doing what you should have been doing all along?

Get RID of her!

There has to be a shakeup in order to improve.

It says in the announcement that the COO will be in NY. I doubt that San Francisco will survive as HQ, so it won't be that anyone is working remotely. WIM and Tech heads already in NYC.

Avid is already on her way out, Shrewsberry had a bunch of his organization moved to the new COO and others at the top sitting in SF possibly won't survive this - by design.

Let me guess the new COO wants to work in the east coast because the CEO is in New York working remotely.

That puts the current count at 3 for 3 buddies hired in. Anyone got any bids on his next BFF that'll be coming in?

Of course the new CEO will surround himself with people he knows will be loyal to him. That’s just the way it works.

We have management issues all around

The new COO is a friend of the new CEO. It's likely there will be more announcements like this - they didn't announce a search or replacement for Avid. So I am guessing PVSI will be broken up into pieces, probably some of it will report into another new hire. You really can't blame him for bringing in people he knows, 3 years have gone by since the scandal really broke and not much has been accomplished so that's an obvious management problem.
