Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Never forget McElf's Q2 2019 town hall where he said:

"I believe the majority of management surpluses are behind us"

Well, I have a feeling that what he meant by that was the amount of surpluses. There might only be one or two surpluses a year going forward, but the volume of each of them will be unlike anything we've seen before. It will be like what they did with the Powerball and Megamillions - bigger jackpots at the expense of even more losers. Hint - Stankey and Randy are the only one's who win the jackpot.

And . . . On today's town hall, he just said that OF COURSE the surpluses will continue in 2020 and beyond.

Same talking-points and spin in all the corporate communications, no matter the person delivering the propaganda. Nothing gets said that isn’t dry-run tested and ok’d by the herds of att lawyers and consultant spin-doctors.

Expecting to fix att is like expecting to drain the corrupt swamp in DC. It will never ever happen. The company is an infected blob, just like government. Also, don’t ever think the current executive of the month is somehow more honest or real than the prior executive of the month. They are not.

This time maybe comes from share holder’s pressure. I don’t think anyone want to see the lay-off. They just want to keep their job

He also said that he will answer all questions submitted to the town hall and reply by email with the answers as he didn’t get to any questions during the Townhall. He never sent the email, he is a typical corporate executive. All talk, nothing but lies!

I think he was just using weasel words to say that 50.00001% of the surpluses were done, nothing more than that. Also, what hadn't happened at scale until then was rebadging which they don't technically consider a surplus.

Actually, I’m thinking McElf was saying, "the majority of Small Surpluses are behind us, a few Big ones still remain, Buckle Up!"

We thought he is the most honest executive. Obviously it short lived. CTIO has too many 2nd, 3rd and 4th level supervisors. Reduce the supervisors if they really want to cut costs and improve efficiency.

What he meant to say was that "majority of surpluses are behind us" until the next reorg because shareholders.

Cute analogy, my last lottery was 1971 (Vietnam) and guess what? I lost that one too! Needless to say, I don’t like them.
