10 AM CST CALL - Fea Surplus is Coming!

Just got off a “you may/may not” be surplused call. We won’t know for sure until mid January. Approximately a 3% reduction in our ATO workgroup.

We had the same call in Hetrick org today. It is so sad how the company had diminished the work environment and employees morale. I know it business and changes will happen however it would be better If they would just be honest and state out right what they are going to do and to whom. It is sad when you work hard every day and cannot plan for the better of yourself and family with the money you are making other than plan for a storm! Not just a rainy day! There is life after AT&T! This could be a blessing for some to do better and pursue other things. I plan to retire in 2020 and it may come earlier due to the decision to cut more headcount and more in the foreseeable future. Good luck to every one and keep focused on you!

The 3% is in addition to the people who took the MVO, so what's the total percentage?

rvb again.

I think we're talking about 2 different calls. The 10 AM CST call appears to have been a "may or may not" be laid off" call, in which the people were targeted, but the 11 AM CST call was for those who Fea said are "safe" this round.

Call over. Those on the call not laid off. Those laid off were told "earlier this morning." 3% of employees to be laid off. Fea wouldn't specify, but reminded us that areas of the business are shrinking, presumably those being the areas most likely to be hit.

The whole meeting took about 5 minutes. Fea "answered" some pre-written questions, but these amounted to the info above. No one else spoke.
