Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Florida retail mandatory phone conference Sat 1/18

On Saturday at 8AM there is a mandatory conference call of all retail employees hosted by our VP of retail. We are being told it is about ATT TV launching soon. Any information if this the real reason?

They had a call to introduce an 55 plus unlimited rate plan for Florida only.

So what was it about?

This is the dumbest group of replies I have ever seen. Our VPGM moved mountains to get an offer exclusive to Florida. Retail should be happy people out there are constantly fighting to keep us relevant.

No way they schedule a call for Saturday at 8 am to talk about T TV.

Saturday? That's a minimum of 4 hrs OT if it's scheduled.

Saturday 8AM? Don't employees have lives to live on the weekend? What kind of schmuck schedules an 8AM Saturday meeting, other than an overpaid, pompous manager?
