So with Plepler at the helm, Apple TV will now become the source for cutting edge adult drama and professional story telling as was HBO in its heyday. I can picture his appointment attracting other creative talent to his side - possibly his former employees from WarMed or T-HBO.

On the other hand, the T owned HBO will devolve into a bloated grab-bag of half-azz scripts and junky reality shows to fill airspace and cram more Our Thing ads down our throats.
I blame Randall more than Stankey. Stankey is protecting his best interest, but the fact that Randal is leading the boat and does not have the leadership skills to recognize talent and take that leadership role to spank stankey and bring him down from the high cloud he is at thinking he knows more than the experts. Randal is most likely in I don't care mode, I'm getting out in one year and its your problem now Stankey, I'll just collect my pension, golden parachute and a few more millions for golfing.
wish stankey would just provide his customers big fat dumb pipes and not tack on endless fees. but I guess he can't even do that.
stankey is just typical att senior management never admit you made a mistake. reminds me of george w bush.
so many people just like stankey there. they are always right and never wrong. att will self destruct and I am going to enjoy the show. the wireless market cannot carry them forever because you can only alienate customers for so long and never admit to the customer you were wrong before they just tire of you. plus randy's creative accounting billing is robbery.
Apple gets Plepler and AT&T gets Stanky, not a fair trade by any stretch. One Plepler is worth a dozen Stankys, easy.
Apple will now be a major player in streaming while AT&T bleeds talent due to managerial incompetence and arrogance, from Stanky in particular.
But hey, T still has those Big Bang Theory reruns! Nobody knows TV like Sir Stanky!
In the long run Richard Plepler is going to be the guy that will devalues time warner. Letting him go was Stakey's biggest mistake. That guy was worth more than Stanky to at&t
