That is just plain awful. The title of this post, the likelihood of following our model, not quite. However, AT&T is really pushing every button to a degree, as I believe they need to get to 200K. If true, we've only begun to scratch the surface with all last year’s effort to reduce the workforce. With all the talk of 2020 Vision, I still do see 2020 as a real blood bath, and the main target is the Level 2, MR75 employee. They've also made the maximum number of changes to lots of things, to make existing during 2021, hopefully with MVO or Surplus, the best you’re ever going to see. After that, the real deep cuts to more retiree coverage, severance and other areas will begin. Sadly really, so many don’t want to leave for lots of great reasons. I can see that in the article, with what the French Telecom company did, why so sadly employees started to commit s–c-de. Glad those guys got convicted. This wouldn’t have happened in the US, but it did happen in the Socialist country of France, rife with Unions and a Labor Party. I’m sure this goes on a lot in other Socialist based countries, look at Venezuela. Another reason why to never vote for Socialism in this country, or support Unions.
