  1. Client Solutions Executive II in Columbia, MD

Good: Fair pay. Great people. Good opportunity. Excellent training. Great family benefits and maternity/paternity pay/recognition.
Bad: Incredibly antiquated systems and processes. Single point of failures throughout the processes. Insufficient resources to work effectively. Inability to sell what we are pushed to sell as systems and knowledge were not available or developed properly.

  1. Cable Splicing Technician in Houston, TX

Good: Plenty of work. Exciting locations. Diverse Culture.
Bad: Surplus Situations are unfair to good workers. Consider those who are NEVER late to work. Work with pride. And really do not have any contempt for the company. Many of us that you let go would gladly take a pay cut just to stay with this fabulous company.

  1. Wire Technician in Nashville, TN

Good: AT&T offers many benefits associated with large companies.
Bad: Schedules and unpredictable overtime demands and integrating DirecTv personnel into the AT&T culture

  1. Retail Sales Consultant in Virginia Beach, VA

Good: Health Care, great 401k contribution program of 6%, 50% discount on certain accessories, and phone plans. Management is always upbeat, friendly but down to business.
Bad: New hires are back of the totem pole when it comes to scheduling. Will have to work every weekend. Selling Directv is a must and is challenging to sell considering we do not have Broadband in hampton rds to bundle.

  1. IT Senior Manager in Houston, TX

Good: Decent benefits- that’s about it
Bad: HORRIBLE COMPANY! Constant layoffs! Management has also restricted Telecommuting. Employees used to be able to work from home all the time- now it is limited to 4 times a month. Impossible to find workspace at corporate locations- everything is “drop in” and you need to haul all your stuff into the office daily. Long hours and absolutely NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Management does not care that you have a life outside of “the Death Star”. Try to leave or work from home with a sick kid, and you get written up! And I am a high level IT professional.

  1. Sales Consultant in Tucson, AZ

Good: everything. very efficient. great place to build a career
Bad: love everything this company represents

  1. Principal Software Engineer in Plano, TX

Good: use of latest technology and flexible timing
Bad: at times the job outlook becomes uncertain

  1. Talent Acquisition Manager in Atlanta, GA

Good: Strong culture of inclusion and diversity. Excellent compensation and benefits including bonuses and discounted or free services for employees (cell service, DIRECTV, HBO, etc.). Lots of opportunity to upskill and develop yourself.
Bad: Areas of the company are downsizing causing decrease in work-life balance

  1. Manager Network Services

Good: Company is continuing to downsizing. Top management is not transparent with front line employees.
Bad: Be transparent with front line employees.

  1. Prem Tech in Merced, CA

Good: Decent pay. To make good money you must pull overtime.
Bad: Bad schedule - weak union

  1. Project Manager in Dallas, TX

Good: People were the best part of the job.
Bad: Only get the 6 major holidays .

  1. U-Verse Premises Technician in Pasadena, TX

Good: Great Benefits and Growth Potential
Bad: Hours Could Vary based on Work Load

  1. Technology Solutions Manager

Good: Great opportunity to learn and expand on latest technology
Bad: The amount of employees that get deferred to our vendors

  1. Senior Project Manager in Oklahoma City, OK

Good: Great benefits like discounts on all service, great insurance and leadership. Ton of opportunities. A company you can work your whole life with because you are given all the tools to grow within the company to expand into whatever role you want to grow into. There is something for everyone at AT&T!!!
Bad: Since we grow so fast, each year we have to streamline roles which can lead to lay-offs in duplicate jobs. This add stress around job security. However, this same growth ensures the future of the company for not only the employees but more importantly our customers.

  1. Bilingual Mobility Sales in Miami, FL

Good: Best benefits you could ask for with union.
Bad: Too much pressure for the money.

  1. Sales Representative in Lehi, UT

Good: Pays well, upscale environment
Bad: Some unrealistic expectations and goals

  1. IT Manager

Good: job stability and historic brand
Bad: too big, hard to interact with peers

  1. Senior Software Engineer

Good: immense size so difficult to connect outside of immediate team
Bad: keep the communication open as I have experienced

  1. IHX in Cleveland, OH

Good: Field Work
Bad: Stuck in channel, micromanagement

  1. IHX in Miami, FL

Good: Good benefits. Half off wireless and internet and good price on Directv.
Bad: Tough hours and fluctuation between different services and/or devices to sell - See other aspects outside of sales

  1. Lead Billing Ops

Good: Benefits are the reason that employees stay.
Bad: Work - Life Balance is unacceptable.

  1. AT&T Mobility RSC in Honolulu, HI

Good: Commission, 401k, benefits and paid time off.
Bad: Hostile work environment and bullied by my boss

  1. Service Technician in Thomson, GA

Good: Att is a very poorly managed company. Extreme micromanagement.
Bad: Let your technicians work and stop micromanaging every aspect of the daily job.

  1. AT&T Retail Sales Consultant

Good: Decent money and benefits. Discount on wireless plan and home service
Bad: Inconsistent hours, unrealistic goals that are most of the time unobtainable unless you are busting it 110% 24/7. Good is never good enough. Biggest issue is commission structure was absolutely jacked. In the 5 years I was there, I started out making $11.40 hrly, ended making $19 an hour, still selling pretty good. Consistently one of the top in sales through out that whole 5 years and still making the same as my first year there... tell me where that doesn’t add up?

  1. Project Manager in Atlanta, GA

Good: Great Benefits, decent salary, telecommute options
Bad: Company does not value long term employees

  1. Senior Technical Specialist in Houston, TX

Good: Great pay & benefits. Good 401k match
Bad: There is no job stability. I "skills pivoted" to several positions to avoid layoffs and ended up getting laid off. The company focus is currently stock prices and not the employees who built the company. Thankful for what I learned there and people I met but looking back, I never felt safe and was always dodging layoffs.

  1. Credit Manager in Cerritos, CA

Good: Diverse environment, growth and great opportunities.
Bad: No Telecommute, no work-life balance

  1. Director of Technology in Atlanta, GA

Good: Scale and Scope can be unmatched, great benefits/compensation package, opportunity to grow skills sets via tuition re-imbursement & nano degrees, almost every technical discipline is represented
Bad: Areas of the company are downsizing, leadership can be uneven - AT&T seems susceptible to Shinny Squirrel Syndrome.....eye being caught by every shinny object that comes along. ATT Cloud, ECOMP, Network Cloud, Public Cloud, 5G, Media, Advertising, Big Data, ect. An initiative takes years to deploy. Changing every 1-2 years is exhausting. Pick one. Focus the company on it. Complete it. Move on to the next one.

Good health and benefits. Decent pay.

Completely unrealistic goals and will fire you if you don’t hit certain ones. Sales people held responsible for complete mismanagement of DirecTV and forced to sell it by any means or be fired. Constantly cramming the new thing down people’s throats and then off to something else.

Conclusion: Great company if you are in sales. Garbage for everyone else.
Alternative conclusions: Sales people are manic id–ts? Marketing org is overpaid?

As a senior PM myself, #14 may be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read.

…"Bad: Since we grow so fast, each year we have to streamline roles which can lead to lay-offs in duplicate jobs. This add stress around job security. However, this same growth ensures the future of the company for not only the employees but more importantly our customers. …"

This is good stuff. It summarizes other feedbacks so it's not biased and all ranting. Glassdoor tends to remove negative feedbacks.
