So now we know. Just a standard package with no time added.

Much better package coming out November 19, 2020. That is the one obvious fact this piddling offer suggests.

Coming from a ”Union brother ” who wouldn’t have had that pension that 401K the Medical all those Holidays off those double time Sundays double time after 9 hours it goes on and on ....you worked in a protected and fair work environment

Do you really think the Company or as it is the companies throughout your 36 years wanted to give you all that??

I’ll answer for you NO WAY

It’s funny in your bitterness you bite the hand that really did feed you.... because I assure you the companies would not have giving you any of what you had then and have now.

Thank CWA everyday you for your career and retirement you bitter old fool.

You guys have had it too good for way too long and don't realize how good things are. Go get a job in the real world and you will miss the union cleaning up your messes and allowing you to keep your overpaid jobs..... This from a retired CWA member of 36 years.

After the surplus is over the company will invoke their FAP force adjustment plan and if they dont get volunteers to back fill , they will force techs within their 35 milage range to depts where guys and gals dont want to be by inverse seniority. If you dont have time you will get SCREWED

fios Is by far the superior product of any system, period, but they dreamt of a wireless system where they wouldn’t need as large a workforce and sold a BS tale of wireless being a more perfect option.

Not here. 20 years is enough for me. Don't need to waste my entire life working. With all the entitlements you named off, you should be able to retire early too. Unless you are lying.

Sunset???? he wishes....24 years is a junior man, he's going nowhere....They haven't hired into FIOS in 20 years.

FIOS maybe irrelevant where you are....But for those Union FIOS employees making well over 6 figures with a full pension matched 401K and Medical ....I will guarantee you he is doing now and will be doing in that sunset way better than you.

I call that pretty relevant.

FiOS is irrelevant. What..its in 4 states or something? Everyone else in the business is national. Wireline too. Just plain old boat anchors at this point.

24 years? Time to hang it up old timer and ride off into the sunset.

@127pLQMd-1zoq I've been hearing that from bozo's like you and "watching" since the day I stepped onto the job 24 years ago. but ok, I'll keep watching Bozo.

The one thing that sets Verizon Fios head and shoulders above its competitors and I assure you it's not the bill.....it's the employees....the ones that built it...maintain it...install it and who the customer deals with.

Verizon needs its FIOS workforce if it's going to keep FIOS.

Wireline getting sold off as a whole or in pieces. Watch.

5G is apparently not going as planned, and Fios is at a standstill as per their own plans.
Who knew that Siedenberg was right on the money? Not the new regime that is certain.
At any rate, obviously they need those union thugs much more than anyone thought. This offer is bare bones. Will be surprised if they get their numbers, they didn’t really try to .

Many of us in NYC Local 1101 thought it was going to be a 3 & 3 package, that would of cleaned house. I guess they need wireline more than we thought.

@127pLQMd-uyb

Oh, we are ready to leave .....remember Verizon employee the company you work for today was built by Wireline.

New York Telephone
NYNEX
Bell Atlantic

This old "cat " was there long before the mention of today's "wireless" which by the way runs through the wired cables and infrastructure built 100+ years ago by Union employees.

Without the dollars earned throughout those 100+ years, there would be no Verizon and no you.

FACT ! and you're welcome.

Now I'll take my Pension My 401K and hang up on your A$$

Goodbye.

Patience young, I mean old grasshopper. There is more than one way to skin a cat. And wireline is a cat ripe for skinning.

So no 6 and 6 ? or even the long-rumored 3 and 3 ?

I read on here for years now how the company wanted to send those good for nothing Union thugs packing?

and it seemed to me those Union boys had their suitcases open and ready.

What happened 5G not ready to take over the planet?

Very disappointing.
They just offered management a very good buy out, and craft gets a wave.
Guess they don’t want to get rid of craft as much as we thought, can’t see many people taking this one unless they were already going. It’s not much of an incentive.
