"People at the top, RS and the immediate circle and concentric circles, they are going to make a lot of money, directly compensated for the level of risk and headaches they're obligated to carry."

Hehehe! That's a good one. Level of risk? That's rich! Headaches they are obligated to carry? Haha! Good one. Boy did this guy drink the Koolaid. They should be less worried about their jobs than all the people whose careers they destroyed. That much we know. Their compensation isn't remotely commensurate with their competence or capabilities. They are just further damaging the company by collecting huge salaries for nothing. I urge you to get into webphone and look at your chain of command. See all those EVPs, SEVPs, Presidents, even multiple CEOs. Ask yourself how what you do would change if they weren't above you? Would it matter to the customer? The vast majority of these people above you contribute nothing to the bottom line. They are engorged leeches draining this company of the money needed to run the business.

Stop drinking the koolaid people. They are loathsome leeches. Period. I know you were indoctrinated from a young age to believe in the worthiness of those who presume to lead. We all were, but drop it. It does not reflect modern reality.

@wxs, what level of risk is Randy taking? It isn't his money he's blowing - the guy gets $30 million a year and a $100 million golden parachute when he retires. He's all set regardless of how soon he completely destroys this company.

Anyone dumb enough to invest in this slowly sinking shipwreck is the one taking a risk.

RS's track record to-date, really does appear to be abismal; Tmo, DTV, TW, and all the other smaller nonsensical buys, allowing to become bloated and now suddenly we see a major attempt to thin out the top heaviness. It's really making quite a variety of huge messes from one end of the business to the other, everyone is negatively impacted. Personally, I can't concentrate one ounce of attention to my job, as I'm constantly worried about the next shoe drop. I can't be the only one in this state. Every email that hits my inbox; am I getting surplused, outsourced, reorganized maybe an MVO or just news of people I've worked with for years getting the axe?

how can you classify Randy's tenure as anything other than an absolute failure. his greatest accomplishment was creating the new tmobile, after the failed bid + $5B cash and spectrum. Next DTV -over paid by 200% or more, based on the technology going bye bye. Next decided to try and keep up with real technology companies in the streaming space and have stankey run it. REALLY???

I disagree, except for the part about how he and the other dweebs have enriched themselves. I think that today's times, and the changes that need to be made, the colossal size of the company (plus being top, middle and bottom heavy), its taking a serious toll on everyone and every dept to change and keep up with the times and customer demands. People at the top, RS and the immediate circle and concentric circles, they are going to make a lot of money, directly compensated for the level of risk and headaches they're obligated to carry.
