Was just on a meeting with Infy leadership who said about 50% of retained IT are coming on over. Hope the Op is in IT.
Verizon 2.0 gave IT a new name GTS, but after rearranging the deck chairs, GTS formerly called IT continued with the same old SVP/VP bloated management which could be cut in half without skipping a beat. I hope McKinsey and Company refunded monies paid for the current monstrosity they created known as GTS.
I, for one, am actually happy to have an extra week of vacation. But my heart goes out to those who this does not apply to or seemingly undoes a similar loss in time off. For many of us, this is a good thing (for whatever reason) and we just don't find ourselves getting all cynical over it. So, actually... thank you Verizon!
For the most part, they are just giving back what they took away ~5-6 years ago.
Extra week of vacation doesn't do any good if I can't use the three weeks I have now, we are short staffed at every store in my district, have been for months, can't use hardly any vacation time as there is no one to cover the stores...I get 3 weeks , gonna carry over 2, what good is another week going to do ???

Hey OP - You know we had an extra week of vacation with a ton of other perks including lucrative VAR's and then we got folded into the King TuГd known as Verizon Communications and all those perks were stripped from us.
Of course my extra week of vacation was grandfathered in, but I find it funny how they can take it all away and then a few years later they bring back an extra week of vacation and a stock program like the old VAR's and spin it as something new and you kool aide drinking lemmings lap it up like good little vteamers.
