They bought a lot of content with a declining shelf life. Everyone should be asking can they create new content or will they be known as the destroyers of HBO?
@!vhm - these media companies were much better off before Randall's AT&T acquired them. AT&T adds nothing of value to creative media departments and will eventually completely ruin them with its management style.
There is no value being created by AT&T being in charge of creative media businesses, value is being destroyed by the arrogant, incompetent individuals being put in charge of media (Stanky in particular).
Owning the content is good for att and shareholders, but doesn’t do sh– for front line employees. The future of att doesn’t include most of you.
There is so much more room for cuts and outsourcing. Att will be fine and they know it, they also know where the dead weight is.
And only those who own the content will be left standing. We own a lot of content.
Big dumb pipe is not 20000000000000% profit.
