You do know that you can port your cell phone number to an other carrier that has working voice mail. And maybe even pay less, even if you are currently getting an employee discount.

(California here) I tried to get my voicemail yesterday just to get the message that "voicemail is not available". I called AT&T tech support who stated that it is a wide spread issue and it will be at least two weeks before it is resolved.

Tempe, Arizona - I have not been able to access my voice messages since October 15th. I call-in sometimes twice a day and every time a rep tells me there's no fix in site, and that they have no idea when this will end, that I just have to wait. I am very busy business owner, I really need to access my messages. Someone please help!

"Voicemail? Send me a text if you go to voicemail. My voicemail specifically states: Send me a text if you reach this message. Welcome to modern communications. "

What a dunce. That's a great plan snowflake. How woke and hip of you. That's great advice, just tell the customers paying for voicemail service that they don't need it. You deserve a promotion.

pathetic that we used to be able to fix outages and now we just let things go. I am watching people and business accounts leave us as they lost revenue due to no voicemail for over 2 weeks. We have no I.T desk, no support on the back end anymore. Every call gets transferred to the Philippines and due to the language barrier, I have never , ever seen a call get resolved. We use to be a great company. We use to be able to help our customer base. We use to care. Not anymore. It was a good ride while it lasted.

Always blame the vendor, or the contractor. I don't know the specifics of this, but being in network for a very long time I can pretty much guarantee the length of this outage is directly correlated to a lack of internal SME's due to layoff/ reorgs, coupled with a lack of top tier vendor support due to cutting back/ elimination of service contracts. Also, the equipment is outdated, further leading to a lack of trained personnel (internal and external). You can pat yourself on the back for saving some dollars on maintenance agreements, but eventually, one way or another, you're going to pay. How do you put a price tag on this kind of PR? An outage lasting OVER A MONTH? Wow.
