In the early days the company I started with gave $200 cash to each employee for Christmas. Today, T gives a few choice employees their walking papers for Christmas.

By end of October people who are affected should be notified so they are off the payroll by EOY. That's how it happened to me years ago and how it continues to happen. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The deadline for MVO is 10/15.
Leadership knows the number they must go down to.
Surplus notifications (could) likely occur 10/16 through 10/31, then 60 days off payroll would be 12/31/2019.

with or without , more layoffs for sure, outsourcing/ offshoring to accelerate in the next business cycle.
