Does anyone know anything about wireless call centers closing?

Does anyone know if tenured call center employees will be offered severance or if any centers are closing?
They are currently remodeling my center and I have heard of rumors of this being done before closures. I also found the lease agreement online which indicates the building is for sale and Verizon has not renewed its lease.
The company has been telling us the changes are being made by them for us but in reality its being made by the owners of the building (not verizon) because the building is for sale
If the company really wants to make money, just outsource all of wireline operations or sell it off.
@4rnl They have the same goal. Making money.
Company wants to save money...they should get rid of all the used car salesmen and sell wireless phones online and at the big box stores. They would save plenty by not paying salaries and getting rid of the real estate/rent plus utilities. We also wouldn’t have to listen to the whining as the wireless people would find jobs at used car lots.
@11rBHowS-2kgl okey, but it is not. they use completely different systems and have completely different goals
Wireline/Wireless all still the same company - VERIZON. got it? good.
maybe should ask those Filipinos , they may have insights as they run wireless call center in Manila

I think the writing is on the wall. Work from home or outsourcing is the future. Verizon doesn't want to pay rent on call center buildings. No reason to.

Always wise to avoid pregnancy due to employment activities. Thank you for this tip!
No one here knows anything. It's always a possibility. You'll find out when the company decides to tell you. In today's corporate environment, it's always good to have a Plan B.
