This week and last week our department is soliciting employees to donate to a cause and for $10 donation you are going to be approved to work from home, max donation $50 for 5 days and you also has a chance to win wfh for 1 week into a raffle!!!

We all know soliciting donations is nothing new. In this case, what is disturbing is the reward after the change policy. Some would say too soon. An old Illinois Bell head told they used to solicit craft (office clerks in this case) to purchase a saving bond through payroll deduction at .25 (quarter) per paycheck. If the full unit participated, they received donuts and were allowed to enjoy them at their desk. During the jeans solicitation period, I donated and when I didn’t wear jeans that day, it got back to me leadership said I wasn’t a team player. I walked away with the impression, leadership thought more of themselves and the game vs. a donation to a good cause.
Isn't this a conflict of interest or potential COBC issue? It certainly is an insane asylum these days and the nuts are running this place...….
A former VP under Stephen's, Kevin Jeffries, offered to let people wear Jeans in exchange for donating to an employee emergency fund. Most people were them before his stupid, out of touch offer.
What SVP is doing this please? So against COBC!

And people drive far to work now daily, no more donations since its already costing people enough gas, time and effort to go to your bs locations.

Perhaps.... just maybe..... if they didn't let go of so many people , those yearly donations would still be around, and there would be no need to raise the minimum donation per unit to make up for all those lost contributions..... Hey guess what ? Your charitable donations have just been outsourced and off shored. What did you expect? Add this to all the other material risks and hidden costs that no one wants to contemplate when they've got cuts and personal over bonus on their minds. Karma.
Someone should run this by HR. I am sure soliciting donations for favors at work is frowned upon.
Just wow, selling what should be a more or less yes or no verbal grant from your managing supervisor. What's next, pay $5 so you can wear jeans to work on Friday? Oh, they've been running that scam for years.
