Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

PVSI will be first...

To be taken apart. The leadership of that group was built on identity politics rather than talent. Go into the system and tell me any one down to Avid that is capable of business transformation. The San Francisco culture is not going to mesh with the New York hard core get things done attitude. It will be like a JV High School team joining the NFL. Sadly, I fear it will negatively affect many in the ranks of PVSI by association.

What other groups are to fall? Obviously Mary Mack has hired on merit and built a world class team so I assume no worries there.

"They can start by cleaning house with whoever is responsible for god awful digital experiences they force on our customers and team members."

I would like to take out back and beat the shazbot on whomever decided SharePoint was a viable 'solution' for sharing data twixt the personnel.

What a convoluted, flaming pile of poo it is.

Avid destroyed IT and got promoted for making big cuts which temporarily helped the bottom line. No matter that it has caused constant remediations because customers were harmed as a result. She is definitely part of the old guard. IT fired a lot of employees and hired contractors who never had more than 1 year of experience. All of our systems are cobbled together and more energy was put into meeting project deadlines than making sure the project was doing what it needed to do. I left an area after putting up with that nonsense. How about we make sure everything has been coded correctly before we put it in production? a– backward.

Agree that Marketing needs to be built from ground up. Jamie Moldafsky (CMO) has created one of the most ineffective Marketing organizations to-date. It's impossible to get anything done due to complicated processes. Mr. Scharf needs to take a quick look at the recent employee survey and he'll see right away how poorly the Marketing organization is running and how unsatisfied employees are. Jamie Moldafsky has been there far too long as have most of her leadership team.

Mary Mack is not too notch herself but I agree Avid has been there for years and is part of the problem of "too big to fire.

Technology is the sorriest, most ridiculously backward and dysfunctional thing about WF. They can start by cleaning house with whoever is responsible for god awful digital experiences they force on our customers and team members.

The worst part is that within PVSI there are talented people who work hard every day trying to do the right thing - even among two down leadership. That's true of a lot of the company.

But there are so many more people in PVSI who have jobs that don't even need to exist, or their job consists solely of taking credit for work done mainly by technology. Heck, they even film commercials with their people taking credit for the work done by technology!

Marketing has major cultural problems, that whole org is just a total do over from top to bottom.

Marketing is under the PVSI umbrella. They will be fine. Everyone from the CMO on down is a stone professional hired on merit.

No nepotism there. No sir.
