there are major opportunities out there and if you are young and wanting more there are chances for a great retirement. if you are over 40 and this is where you have called home for your career, my apologies, but retirement -well you will sc-ape by.....chances are you were lazy and deserve this outcome. you won't find much to do after att.

So randy makes 30 million a year and thinks 86k a year is great when the rest of tech is making over 120k.
You need to compare your salary to others in the same field of work. When you’re CEO you can compare your salary to other CEOs.
Wow, on another thread, someone was called "entitled whiner" for not wanting to relocate and uproot their family, here we are told that someone who worked full time for a couple of decades at the company into their 40s is "lazy and deserves this outcome." This country is becoming overrun with psychopaths.
I'm 50, been here 25 years; management (non bargained for, individual contributor, that is: no direct reports...a lot of people on here don't seem to be able to grasp there are a lot of us in that category).
Figure I will be probably be shown the door in the next year or 2. Not worried at all. Skills, resume, LinkedIn profile are current. Get contacted regularly re: my availability. My good salary and my PTO time are keeping me here for now, and I actually like my job, so I will wait to be laid off and move on to whatever is next. Those of you with the defeatist "sky is falling" attitude will deserve whatever you get.
Lmao to the bank 86k base+ OT not uncommon to double that salary. Healthcare basically paid for, pension, job security. Take your 120k with 2 grand a month for medical. Yeah and I’m sure you work for google with your Computer science degree from MIT - go to sleep rummy.
$86K a year? I hope you are not in IT,
This may come as a surprise to you: IT is vastly outnumbered by other lower paid jobs within the company.
You wonder why IT is being outsourced so much? Look at the labor expense for such a small group of employees.
i am not going to lower my standards to a 3rd world sh– hole here which is happening with all the visas coming over
$86K a year? I hope you are not in IT, Google starts new grads at $118k a year.
86k is nothing as the cost of living keeps climbing higher and higher each year.
Spoken like someone who lives way above their means. If first generation immigrants can succeed making less than that, there’s no reason you can’t other than bad behavior
yeah anybody under 30 that has any knowledge in the IT world should leave for a lot better companies out there
Yeah they should if they can get better. Management jobs have no job security.
86k, lmao. are you 20 years old? thats not even starting pay for tech companies. $120-$150k min.
Right because we all do TechDev work...
$86K is base pay for craft in the west along overtime, better healthcare, and Article 2 protection. It’s good pay. Live within your means. I have just shy of $700k in retirement by contributing 16% into my 401K the last 21 years.

I’m 26. I gotta go dude
I guess 86k in India goes a long way
yeah anybody under 30 that has any knowledge in the IT world should leave for a lot better companies out there that will have a secure future. Att isn't that place and all the other companies pay more and probably give bigger bonuses.

don’t let them turn us against each other

based on your pay, you will walk away with about $$100-200k total in retirement if you stay here. that's the problem att feels safe and good, but its not this is mediocre pay and retirement with no stock value at all, unless you want to decrease in value.
Lol. I’ll stay and make $86k a year plus healthcare and tuition reimbursement. Then walk away debt free with a huge lump sum pension.
If you think you can get comparable elsewhere, by all means please leave. Nobody wants to work with toxic a-holes.
pretty and accurately articulated , if you decided to stay in the cesspool called at&t , you reserve what you get, and please quit winning about working conditions at AT&T
