Just received notice that we (AT&T Business-Global Operations and Services) will be getting an offer this afternoon for voluntary separation. And......we all know, that if there aren't enough takers, then the involuntary separations begin. Probably right around the holidays, I'm thinking! Happy Holidays!

This is incorrect.
Be really careful if you express interest. If you express interest in leaving and then they don't accept it, they know you are looking to leave. Second, if you take the offer it will make it hard to get unemployment in some states. Unemployment benefits are only paid for involuntary terminations. Third, if you express interest, don't get accepted, and are later terminated they could use it against you when you apply for unemployment benefits saying you were looking to leave anyway.
In ATO here under buzz word child Marachel, no emails about offers. Just more empower and giving your pledge.
I’m in digital org, no such announcement on our side. I think if they did this in digital, half the folks would be out the door. Just for reference, we had the lowest eNPS scores in the company. It’s bad over here.
Just got email from News now stating that “I will not be receiving volunteer offer”

Folks this not how other companies do business. There is something seriously wrong with this company.
So glad I left years ago what a mess anybody that tries to defend this company is nuts. Already got a promotion on my new job after I left on my own (wasn’t just going to sit around waiting for a half a years salary) and got on with my life and now I am taking the pension buyout and taking control of my finances. Hey and I am over 50. Once I get rid of wireless I will be att free and I will have att disease out of my life saving money and not contributing to the nightmare of a company. Too bad uverse was a good product and prefer it over satellite.

This is common place at this point so not surprised. Just continue your nano degree and empower training because its going to pay huge dividends. LOL.
Don't worry soon we will see some reshuffling of SVPs and above to really enact change. Then same garbage..Rinse..Repeat.
