Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Att & Warner diversity https://variety.com/2019/film/news/warnermedia-diversity-report-ceo-john-stankey-1203351007/

Are you kidding me. How can the blind lead the blind. The T beholds diversity and it is far from it. The only way the T satisfies their diversity commitment is through: the heavy hiring if middle eastern folks (at low pay grades) & women. Other than that. We look the same as Warner.

Not supposed to hire you just because you're black, but if that's the way it's perceived, you could be offended. If they hire me and give me a large salary and say it's because I'm white- I'm just going to take the money, and not worry about being offended. You might not like the system, but you aren't going to fix it, and if you do think you are going to fix it, that's what the last person thought who put in the policy you don't like.

I’ve never understood the whole diversity thing. To me it’s the most racist thing ever. So what you are saying is, you’re hiring me just because I’m black? Really??? So I’m not talented, experienced or qualified enough to get the job? Btw I’m a black man that was adopted by a white family, so my perspective is a bit different.

Forced diversity is overrated and racist anyway so who cares.

In IT & Tech Dev (U.S,) there is a lot of diversity. I am a white male and a minority there.....
