Charlie cited geography as a prime reason for leaving Visa and joining BNY Mellon. He didn't feel a person could lead a company going back and forth across the country. He felt it was best to have people in the same physical space so that they could better collaborate.
But that was then, and this is now. He sees his oft-trumpeted principles differently when they are applied to himself.
