Not the phone company with the little blue punch cards that had to be mailed back with the bill. Never understood what they were at that time. And the threat that you'd be violating a law if you added an extra (called "extension") phone in your house. Somehow they could detect it by measure the line voltage or something. But we did like calling for the correct time.
Favorite companies were those that advertised during the Olympics or Super Bowl - many being big oil.
AT&T is my favorite because I make almost $90k a year with minimal OT and get great healthcare coverage. I paid off all my debts, built up a nice emergency fund, and I’m growing a substantial nest egg via 401K.
