Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Do not quit job first!

Applying for other jobs while still employed is much less stressful than waiting til the final hour. AT&T employees have great reputations in other industries, so use it to your advantage.

Lots of corporations still use T for their communications and networking needs. Many have had positive experiences with T and negative with other companies. They tend to respect T employees.

After seeing all the whining by management on here, I’d refuse to hire an AT&T manager. Whiners.

Disagree that ATT employees have great reputations for a few different reasons. Work is very segregated at T. Some employees have very limited duties. That won't be impressive to a new employer.
Also, I have dealed with T from the perspective of a corporate customer. Many I have dealt with are either very rude or very unknowledgeable.

Not all companies are fast to hire you because they cant make the salary paid at AT&T. Network as much as you can.
