No the purpose of the original post was to see if the HR people who harassed and fired the employees are getting their due justice in Hell. Who gives a cr@p about them they're nothing more than used toilet paper.

I am not sure what this thread is attempting to conclude. Are you trying to guess what staff losses are coming based on HR job losses? That is not a useful metric. The HR numbers are generally proportional to existing employees and is a ‘lagging’ indicator . A more meaningful measure is to look at what amount has been set aside for bonus pool. How many seats are being set aside for the EOY and things of that kind.

@11dTA81q-1cdc, the only people that care are the ID10Ts that go to these other banks and complain that they’re as bad or worse. You need not worry if you’re from WF though. You’re unemployable, which is likely why many of you are here pissing and morning.

Repeating what has been said below, because some people do not seem to get it....

HR exists to protect the company from you, not to protect you from the company.

Who cares about Citibank and BofA? This thread is about Wells Fargo.

@11dTA81q-1mhx, not exclusive to WF. Same at Citibank and BofA.

And what are the things that employees go to HR about?

Their management forcing them to commit fraud against customers, stealing their wages with unpaid overtime, s-xual harassment, and violations of law.

When HR doesnt act or gets ignored by management, the company gets sued, dragged through the press and in deep trouble with the regulators. All of which applies and more. There is an asset cap, an exodus of talent and a draw down on deposits because of this.

HR protects the company by keeping management from doing this stuff - except at WF they failed!

The purpose of HR in any company is to administer benefits, and, much more importantly, to protect the company FROM the employees, as any WF employee who has gone to HR for any reason knows very well.

HR at any company was never to protect employees but management who are proxies of the company from being sued etc.

They're useless people but are needed to protect the companies interests by destroying the employees.

WF HR are/were a huge part of the cultural problem that led to the sales practices scandal. In most big companies HR acts to keep semi-senior and mid-level managers from committing crimes against employees and customers - fraud, wage theft, DoL violations, you name it. The evidence suggests that HR is not only incompetent, lacks influence, but is also powerless. When they aren't failing to protect the company from widespread wrongdoing they are angering employees over benefits changes that are poorly thought out. The competent people who worked in HR are already gone. So yeah, probably cleaning house would be a good idea.

Nobody.. why would you fire HR? If the times are good you need them to hire. If the times are bad you need to to fire.
