Or is this primarily wireline? I don’t come across much from the wireless world on here. All I’m know is that it’s DEAD over on this side of the fence. Zero work in the major metro I work. We’ve been making up our own tickets for what seems like months now. Used to slow down in the dead of winter...now we’re just slow all year.

Mobility employee here. Since this is a lay-off site there is not a lot of surplus going on in mobility. In district 6 (old sw bell footprint) over the last 4 years mobility has surplused about 1-2 employees for every 100 wire line surpluses. Mobility is also only about 40,000 employees nationwide even though it still brining in over 40% of the money
I’m with mobility and I have so much work I can’t see straight. I try to send the techs tickets for as much as I can. If they would let me know they need work I’m sure I could find things to give them rather than the Turf.
Cell tech here. Work has almost stalled. No new routine tickets, just a couple of alarms tickets here and there... borrowing from coworkers and creating own tickets.
"We try to keep it wireline. Craft, Union employees. "
no, 'we' don't
Mr Randell and company promised the shareholders we would deleverage a huge amount of the debt by year end. That’s all they are focused on, no tickets for anything that will cost the company any money and selling assets like a fire sale.
OP here. I’m a cell tech..the network is very very busy with carrier construction. Vendors are everywhere, but as field techs, we just make up random tickets for weed control, decomm old cell site cabling etc..nothing of any real relevance as the company is over the top concerned with expense. Very very odd times here at AT&T.
It’s every business unit.
We’re all welcome here as we are all stuck in this sinking boat. I am in wireline in the Midwest and didn’t realize wireless is so slow.
Lots of Mobility here. Wondering if you're in the Field or perhaps in a MTSO?
@vzb — as mentioned dummy, Union has had their tentacles into Wireless for some time.
mobility is union
AT&T IS A RIPOFF COMPANY, I have Tmobile now a days
