So instead of pressing "1 for English" when you need customer care, press "2 for Spanish" and you'll actually get someone that speaks English.

The reality is contractors don’t do a good job. They are paid by the job and know they are t held responsible. I can’t count the number f times I get sent to clean up a contractor’s mess. They hit it and quit it ; they have no accountability. Att knows this. That’s why ultimately they agree to pay our techs 40 dollars an hour. It’s still cheaper than having to clean up a contractor’s mess. So I agree with the other poster. One of the safest jobs at the company is still the field tech.

No, but you can be replaced by scabs and contractors who will work for less.

Not even close to being done with outsourcing. Accenture, more work going to Mexico, AMDOCS, and then some small vendors trying to expand their footprint and get more business. Accenture will have more announcements in the next couple of weeks. On top of all this, first of year layoffs will take more out as we target a 10% expense reduction for 2020
my crystal ball says accenture is next, w/amdocs following right behind them. then fill in the blank w/any spare consulting firm
