Nothing important on the horizon for retail
For Retail, word on the street is only Flagship and high profit locations will be kept Company Owned, the rest will be closed or sold off to AR. Not sure when, however I recently saw a list of locations that are on a list called Cross Region Focus Doors, Consolidation, Round 2- it wasn’t meant for my eyes, had about 8 locations on it in a market, finance and director we’re going back and forth in an email regarding those locations and options to either- move to AR, relocate, close down. And no I’m not making this up, I don’t have time to play games with peoples lives. Retail has a bad rap on this lay-off board, but some of us have no other options at the moment and make good money. I’m looking around while I’m still employed, absolutely. But we retail people are not all bad. Oh yes there’s plenty of lying, cheating, useless, unethical clueless POS in retail, especially ARSM, who hound us hourly and sit home all day. But there’s also a lot of good, honest, hard working people in retail who just want to go to work, get a good paycheck and have a life. But that’s getting harder and harder every dam* day due to the pressure we get constantly, 5 years ago it was a different company, 10 years ago it was pretty great, felt proud to work here. As for the original post, I know nothing concrete, educated guess and just repeating what I’ve heard. Take it what it’s worth. I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of replies calling me a troll or whiner- far from it, just my opinion. Best of luck to all.
