Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

All the signs are there that At&t is at the beginning of its end

Yep, all the signs are there that At&t is at the beginning of its end. Almost all the buildings and garages here in South Florida have gone up for sale and I’ve noticed the grass is not even getting cut every week like it used to. Looks like it’s getting cut once a month now. It’s so overgrown it looks like an abandoned building outside except for all the cars crammed in thanks to collaboration. There’s a dead roach in the hallway for two weeks now that no one has picked up which tells me they’ve reduced the cleaning crew to maybe once every two weeks. It’s really pathetic.

Unfortunately this is true. OP by @118kpWi0-ipl .

I worked in TechDev supporting Corporate Real Estate IT systems and was told T has 200,000 huts, shelters, and buildings. They are selling everything to get the debt paid down.

The June 30, 2019 10-K report shows Property, Plant, Equipment, after being reduced by accumulated depreciation and amortization, valued at $132+ billion. That's a lot of money that could be freed up by selling and leasing-back the property.

AT&T has been selling off buildings the last 10 years before Randall. Leadership has said we’re not in the real estate business.

They’re sold and leased back.

Most contracted out but yes T- baggers will
still have T stocks in 2025. The stock price might even be higher as investor advocates
love cost cutting. Now 2035 that remains to be seen. Probably a rotten wireless entity

T will get a tax payer funded bailout after Randy finishes running it in to the ditch, too big a boondoggle to fail will be the excuse.

Investing 101, always look at the grass height in front of the building. /s

Newsflash, they have roaches in Florida.

That’s indicative of the quality of tenants. Your mother doesn’t come in and clean after you slobs.

Just drove passed a remote central office that is 30 miles from any 10k+ population and it was just mowed. The contractor was also spraying fertilizer to keep it a pretty deep green. To top it off that entire exchange does not have access to uverse, POTS only. Really sad.

AT&T is now a conglomerate of large business units which for the most part have their own financial statements. Stupid business decisions have been made but does anyone really expect for the bean counters now running the company to decide that wireless or Time Warner revenue to prop up portions that are shrinking rapidly indefinitely?

AT&T is on the road to almost $100 Billion in record profits this year. Newsflash, they have roaches in Florida. It looks like an abandoned building other than the parking lot crammed full of employees walking out with huge paychecks every week.

By 2022 85% of jobs will be either outsourced or contracted out. T will fold by 2025.
