People who are being rebadged or surplused due to outsourcing can use the management transition plan (MTP) if they are within 24 months of rule of MR75 for either age or years of service. This is for benefits only; it won't help with pension.
If you want to see how much they are ripping you off for, project your pension lump sum with off payroll date the day before rule of 75 and the day after. For people hired into SBC or Pacific Bell, the difference can be 2 to 3 times.
Please check the management severance plan at hronestop. Depending on your original hire company, you may be eligible to buy health insurance at the company rate only with any subsidy. The company plans have different copays and out of pockets than the marketplace or federal ACA site, even if the insurance company and metal level is the same. It's a good idea to read the severance plan in detail and check it every few months.
Good luck.
Bumped from @11W5rAWC-iqq for good info.
