Retiree healthcare costs - left in 2018

I left in December of 2018 as part of the management incentive program. Has anyone looked into continuing with Verizon benefits, or explored any external options ? I am at a company contribution rate of 56%. Thanks !

I left in March and know the following: I am covered until 5/31/20 (60 weeks). Only on 5/1/20 Verizon will tell me the cost as a retiree but they told me that COBRA is between 600 and 700 monthly for 18 months then I would be on my own. Today, I checked in Healthcare.gov and the market place for me on my age will cost me $730 monthly.

I am at 68% of the 2006 cost and the company offered health care in feb will cost me over $600. It is the same or comparable plan i had as an employee and it is not for family, it’s just for me. This is what i was quoted by the benefits people before i left. I haven’t looked into other options. A heads up, the dental is $6000 lifetime benefit for just routine care. Look into a dental discount plan. I just joined one.

56% at 2008 rates. So you need to discount the company contribution.
