Don’t get confused. It’s not the capex that has hurt the company recently. We operate in an industry that depends on continuous upgrade to cutting edge technology. What have the company in the debt situation today is the later acquisitions of other companies. You know, to a certain point I’m proud of the way we invest in technology for our customers and our country. No other telecommunications company have our network capabilities, not even close.
Anyone remember when spending on Wireless was considered a good thing?
"Elliot doesn't want any more cap spending"
Could be...but $20B is still a large capital spend. The 2020 build plan for new sites and carriers in Mobility is massive.
Elliot doesn't want any more cap spending. T's debt needs to drop and that's the first place the $3 B will go.
The worry is where that 20 million will be spent.
This is hardly news. 3 billion is only 15% drop.
Still spending 20B, is not that bad. Many small counties would love to have a 20B budget.
Good article. I love how they call out att for the lies they told to get the tax cut. Also called out the FCC for their lies.
