Scrooge Stephenson prefers to lay his employees off in December, preferably the day before Christmas eve.

Most layoffs occur in months that have at least 28 days.

Firings on a Friday, often lead the person who got fired, going straight to the nearest bar and drinking themselves to death. Which is why we like to do that. We don't fire on a Monday, and walk them out right then, and cut all accesses, which is the best practice, we don't do that.

We call it Red October for that reason.

We find it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.
