I hope people visit this site for insight into their employment future and do not take their stock tips from disgruntled employees.

I'm hella' disgruntled myself, but no one here knows what will happen to the stock price.

Certainly more schemes will come to light. Simply too much corruption, too much coverup, too many layers looking the other way. The reputation of this darling bank stock was built on deceit. The long unwinding of Wells will produce many shockers.

I predict this stock will be wiped out in 2020 after the govt uncovers more fraud & takes over the co.

Think I'm joking? Just watch.

$58 by Jan 2021. This is how the options market is pricing the WFC stock.

Not sure looking at the new type of financial market the President is pushing , seems big banking will not survive the new quantum models.

I question the original poster... are you asking because you are staying for options to hit a price? Nobody in their right mind would buy this smoke and mirrors stock.. the good old days were smoke and mirrors... too many scandals, too much corruption, a new even more corrupt management team.

While NOBODY knows where a particular stock will be at some point in the future, we CAN look and see if the insiders (Executives, Officers) are buying or selling their own company stock.

That info is made public by law.

Looking at recent insider activity tells us that total "insider sells" outweigh total "insider buys" by a wide margin.

Does this tell us anything useful? Maybe. It tells us that AT THIS TIME the insiders value "other things" more than they value funds held in their own company stock. It is likely that this activity (again, which is public) demonstrates that the insiders in general feel that they will reap greater financial rewards by selling their stock, versus holding it. These insiders clearly feel that they have better places to put their money (be it other investments, yacht payments, kids in Harvard, whatever).

The point is that the company's own insiders don't feel that their own stock is the best place for their own money at this time.

Further, since there is low BUYING activity from these same insiders, it tells us that these people generally feel that their own company's stock is not going anywhere within a reasonable timeframe.

Conclusions? The stock price will be flat, at best, and possibly will trend down. It will not go up by a meaningful amount anytime soon.

Is there an opportunity here? Yes. But it's going to be very LONG term (assuming the company doesn't go out of business).

One more thing to watch for: if these same insiders start buying company stock in LARGE numbers, it would signal that a significant turnaround is coming. THAT would be a great opportunity. But again, that is not what we see happening at this time.

How will there be growth without manufacturing millions of accounts? Long term customers are steadily moving their assets to reputable asset managers. Denial reigns.

I have always thought the past two years were just good times to buy our stock at a cheap price. It’s gonna go up. Especially when the cap is lifted. Once we get back into a growth business it will jump back to 60/65 per share quickly. Say what you want about WF, it’s a smart but right now.

It'll have a higher rate of return than our annual increases

Unless and until the next scandal comes to light.

I think it could outperform the sector and maybe even the S&P 500.

Tailwinds: Scharf will probably reign in the efficiency ratio through cost-cutting and if the asset cap is lifted that will also provide a boost.
