Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Took the MVO and moved on.

Life is great after years of no new investment and watching good employees turn into bad ones. Surpluses and a poor work environment are k–lers. So glad I moved on from this place.

I took the MVO in Feb after 18 yrs. I was going to retire in May anyway and hopefully it kept one of my coworkers employed. It was like a gift...a perfect storm. Enjoying life. Thanks, ATT!

@11MnziOY-2sxe I’ll still have a good life because I paid off all debts and kept myself marketable during my continued employment with AT&T.

They're not employing, that is the problem.

They’re not HIRING.

They’re still employing TENS OF THOUSANDS and providing those employees a good living.

I’m amazed at the trolls that come here to attack this great company employing tens of thousands while also providing healthcare, tuition reimbursement, 401K plans, and deep utility discounts.

I am hoping they offer an MVO in my org at least once in 2020. After this past year of ridiculous collaboration zone BS I'm ready to roll...

Most people posting on here need to move on as well. So much negativity, it has to take a toll on your health. You must be really fun to be around. Life is short, find what makes you happy or if you are too far invested into it then learn to put in your time with a smile.

It’s a fair point. I ask that myself at times.

But i see a lot of other folks posting on here going through the same agony that I was. In some way, it helps me to let others know that there is a world outside ATT, and it’s better. Or at least it can be.

Plus it’s cheaper than therapy and better than drinking.
