Evolution? More like de-evolution. This from Wikipedia: "The name Devo comes from the concept of 'de-evolution'—the idea that instead of continuing to evolve, mankind has actually begun to regress, as evidenced by the dysfunction and herd mentality of American society."

First McElfresh will play the coy shucks proud to be the new CEO and then thank the various teams and divisions he's worked with before.
Then he'll dive into the "3-year plan" from the recent conference call, and begin spewing a ton of corporate buzzwords (synergy or optimize or best in class ) and how were on track to be an industry leader in entertainment and 5g ..
Of course their will be no mention the 1M+ subscribers lost that they reported, the debt, the Elliott issue, low morale, a jacked up rollout of the streaming products (s), and the rediculous price increases – Jeff will tell us how great things are, we are on track for 2X EBITDA, that our 5G won some speed test award for the 2nd consecutive quarter, we need to keep cutting costs, and all this would not he possible without you, the great employees of ATT Communications.
Likely little mention of surplus issues,or he may mention there are no surpluses planned for the remainder if the year and ot mention anything about outsourcing.
Basically a nothing burger,the real changes will happen weeks or months later when all the reOrgs start happening anf headcounts start getting trimmed. Look out for the name Marrow (the efficiency expert) who's being put in place to be the hatchet man.
