My call is the same call since the beginning of the year. When the Federal Reserve made its reversal and decided to keep interest rates artificially low, it was good for dividend stocks, and for debt laden companies.
Why can AT&T contemplate share buybacks? Because, thanks to the Federal reserve, that might produce more profit than paying down debt. It is madness, but not AT&T madness. It's Federal reserve madness.
"communist group think"?? Where do you guys get this nonsense. Anyone who isn't asleep sees what the C-suite has done to a once great company and you throw around cold war propaganda words to ward off the truth. Here's a news flash for you Senator McCarthy: vultures like Elliott only sniff around when a corporation is badly wounded by executive incompetence. They target the weak and dying.
No it’s logical. Att has a ton of debt. They are in matured business that are not growing or growing in single digits. All this depends on interest rates remaining low. If interest rates go up to early 2000s level that will be hurt badly. I don’t wish them I’ll since I work there and lots of people depend on them. I just et at the poor business decisions.
So the analysts think AT&T may be slated to @$$, I think that is awesome because I don't $h!t where I sleep and hope for the worst for my employer. Why do you think those analysts are crazy? Is it because it goes against the communist group think that get bounced around this place?
