Remember how AT&T tried to roll out Digital Life?
The PR and Marketing team pitched and promo'd the technology for over a year. By the time they officially launched DL, everybody had the technology. The industry had a year to catch up and launch while AT&T was busy showing off the technology. AT&T is heavy on SHOW, light on GO, but always a day late and dollar short. The streaming flop is no different. They got in the game way too late.
By the way... raise your hand if you got Fiber Internet where you live ... or know anyone that actually HAS it?
HBO s—s anyway.
Just look at the sh1tshow that was the Game of Thrones season 8.
Now they’re trying to s—er us in with that Watchmen c-ap.
Westworld better have a k–ler season or they’re done.
Mostly just woke junk being turned out nowadays.
Yep. The R&D dept is working on this thing that you can type letters and numbers on and it shows on a monochrome screen. Of course we'll have to wait until 2022 to get it and it will be $9,995 plus an introductory subscription to "At&T's Art of the Deal" series starting Stank and Randy at $49/ mth for 12 mths with a $199 activation fee (which is you calling into India to activate), and then in mo 13-24 it goes to $399/ mth with a $100 per mth etf.
With all the agile development experts, cloud computing infrastructure and ppt jockeys, they can roll any product out in 3 months.
By the time this actually rolls out, the market winds will have shifted again and whatever T offers will be overpriced and obsolete, then it'll take them another year to work out all the bugs.
What a disaster.
Pre Announcements are used try and dampen consumer demand for competing products when you are behind the innovation curve and trying to catch up. Example: Tesla comes out with electric cars with comparable gasoline car mileage range. Mercedes pre announces all electric car line up available in 12-18 months.
It a symptom of a much much bigger problem.
cuz, it is just the same old operating procedure, this footprint follow DirecTV, DirecNow, ATT TV. same old sh–
pretty well articulated, that summarises T in a nutshell
