Apparently denial ain’t just a river in Egypt...
It was senior management that created the pressure that led low-level staff to open the fake accounts.
At the end of the day the buck stops with them.
Millions of fraudulent savings and checking accounts were opened on behalf of Wells Fargo clients without their knowledge or consent. Obviously this is not due solely to Senior Management. There have to be thousands of people who acted fraudulently and many more thousands who looked the other way rather than reporting this.
