I have a friend on Wall Street and he heard through the grapevine that T has started the process of shopping around for interested parties to take over their Mexico holdings. Sale would probably happen in late 2020 . Anyone corroborate?

Decades ago, Bellsouth tried moving into Latin America. It was a failure.
T tries the same thing expecting a different result.

For the Mobility BU, the most logic move should be Mexico. So yes, it could be true and much before late 2020. And in between today and the Mexico sellout, DTV and some wireline companies will be gone. After all that expect the start of mainland Mobility companies divestment. AT&T the Media Corp.

1 Mexican Peso equals 0.052 United States Dollar
Not sure how much you will get for the sale, but even if it's 1B Pesos, you did not get a windfall, that's only $52M USD
