They bringing in guys and laying them off, it just hit San Diego and its not even affecting the Internet Prem Techs

Technicians are getting offered the opportunity to transfer to the Bay Area. But who wants to relocate to an area with such a high cost of living?

Errrr not so much. I’ve seen what in house techs do....mono pole much?..like to one bolt them? And what’s a ground??? I’m sure you’re the exception? But much better than a contractor I suppose. Those guys will only bring a freaking step stool for the install 😆.
I am sorry to hear though. Everything is up in the air. Dtv techs in the bay area have been getting some cross training now. Don’t know why opportunities aren’t being made available for you guys to move where the work is??
From the looks of it it the majority affected were DTV only prem.
Such small dollars with these jobs. Surely they can find bigger waste than this elsewhere in our company expenditures
Are these hitting just Dtv only yards or Dtv techs that are in yards with legacy ip techs. Here the d3 it’s done by seniority period
6 techs out in Victorville, which is almost a quarter of the entire site. Total of 20 techs remain. Unbelievable that we had nearly 50 techs just over a year ago.
Sorry to hear that, it's never a good time to lose a job. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit you may be able to start a small business in removing all those dishes you installed as customer cut the cord by the thousands and want them off their homes.
Sorry to hear the bad news Men and Women affected. I am a legacy Prem Tech myself. Orginally when the Union told us they were going to make DTV techs prem's. It was just so they can get the work and try to give it to us Uverse Prem Tech's. Which is funny because almost 90 percent of Uverse Prem Tech's dont wanna do the DTV work. The Union did not do you guy's a good Solid at all.
