Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Customers don’t care about yesterday

The competition still believes in customer service and their network. Imagine that. The new AT&T in their arrogance puts their efforts into out of date monopolistic process minutia and micromanagement while still riding the coattails of the old AT&T reputation. That ride is quickly ending as a lot of customers don’t care about yesterday.

@eby. Well said. Customer service isn’t 2000000% profitable.

Remember after AT&T closed the DTV deal? Randall/Stanky got in front of everyone & said there’s a lot AT&T can learn from DTV in terms of customer service, because they were so well regarded there.

Well it must have been deflating to learn that good customer service isn’t some magical formula - it costs money & requires treating the people doing the work like humans (not costly widgets).
