Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle died in 2010

Innovation stopped when MH was hired. The cloud was missed, sun was gutted, talent was squandered costs were cut. True talent and innovation was replaced with mediocrity and status quo.

When Oracle tried to pivot to the cloud it was too little to late and it lacked both the technical know how and the ability to recruit and foster growth. It expects immediate results without investment or time.

Oracle has failed and is in free fall. When the market shifts it can no longer adapt. It's just a slow death as support contracts take time to dry up.

The fall of Oracle is part of the slow death of the American Empire. The genius of the founding fathers has been tossed aside. The moral foundation have been ignored, and we k–l one third of our own. The downfall is coming.

Oracle pivots on marketing spin and industry CxO buzzwords, not on actual technology or innovation.

Too advanced. I had personal exposure to both. Both worked and worked well. Sun Grid was still in early development and wasn't very well automated but was stable and did everything you needed.

Really a pity to see the jokers on stage at OOW trying to read off the prompter who has no clue what they’re reading. Specially the stooge who paraded a bunch of amateurs.
