Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I left AT&T in September 28, 2015 doe to a layoff. A couple of years prior to the layoff John Donovan blocked me from getting a better job at AT&T. I interviewed amd was told I was hired and had the job. Then Dunce Donovan blocks it. He did this twice two years in a row. It messed me up pretty bad. . I personally am pleased Karma caught up to that son of a biscuit. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. What goes around comes around.

So randy loves people who stick their d—s in sh–pipes? Lol. Any employee see transcripts of his address? I mean really? Look i am all for live and let live, but allowing homos-xuals inside the Boys scout? What could go wrong?

ATT preaches diversity but its really diversity of who you sleep with and your skin color. Even with that look at this senior management team, any women or minorities in positions where they could become CEO? Nah. ATT like most companies throw crumbs at the chickens to show how “woke” they are. I don’t if most of them give a damn.

I remember a town hall where JD and Stankey was in the same room and Stankey had a very long face.....so much so, it was as though he didn't want to be there.. He was totally disinterested. I also recall right after the merger with bellsouth when there was a celebration in san Antonio...the face that stood out the most was Stankey. he seemed disinterested and very c—y. From that point on, I knew he would be very interesting to say the least.

The notion that JD knows anything about software is laughable. Domain 2.0 and AIC were both total shams.

He is a management consultant: tells a story, collects his fee, and moves along.

JD always liked to use the word "pivot" during his townhall meeting when describing how he was turning AT&T into a software company by having thousands of non-tech employees take online tech courses. Maybe the company decided to pivot and get rid of him when they finally understood how bogus that plan and his claimed results were.

Who cares... let’s be thankful that JD is gone. He will go down in history as the worst leader ever.

Stankey was the one that mandated all L4's and above relocate to either Dallas or El Segundo. He is no fan of telecommuting or people working apart from those 2 locations. When JD was appointed over communications, he quietly cancelled that order.

Don’t by blaming Jersey unless you want to sleep with the fishes. JD came on Friday last minute in the summer. People are on vacation. And then you have the situation with pauly jwoww and snooki along with all the other bennies creating crazy traffic on the gsp. So people in Middletown during the summer have always work remotely on Fridays. So much so that the cafeteria has a limited menu and the coffee place closes early.
JD came to love NJ so much he put an innovation museum in Middletown. Randy and stanky could not innovate anything but wanted a trophy. So they stole golden boy from NJ to stick in the Dallas lobby.

Folks may not remember Stankey several rungs down from where he is today. He was no fan of telecommuting before JD joined T.

yjq - so in all in all , his feelings got hurt when nobody showed up and now he did a revenge, but the asshat is leaving so – hopefully this full collab BS ends when he finally leaves in OCT! For all we know, the people in NJ got so fed up w/ him and just decided to boycott his stoopid townhall!

My first thought when JD left was that he found out he wasn’t the heir apparent. You don’t get that close to the top and stay with a corporation when you see no way to the top. This happens pretty frequently in large companies.

• yjg you are correct. That NJ meeting fiasco kick-started JD on his war against telecommuting. You are also correct that the NJ staff could have made the small effort to show up to Middletown for his visit. They really messed us up.

not. who do think changed the cuture here with collaboration zones? it was JD and it started in new jersey where NO ONE in ATO showed up for a town hall. Dang new jersey jerks started it all. all 3 stooges are collecting huge $$ while destroying the company and the lives of 100000s employees

According to theSSJ article, JD left because he was told he would not replace Stephenson, i think its a bad idea to replace a 59 year old with a 56 year old CEO. ATT needs a long term strategy and having the next CEO forced to vacate in 6 or so years don’t give them enough time to develop a long term strategy and the flexibility to adjust as events discard unless that CEO has capable people on his team. from what I have read so far “Stinky” operates like a “dictator” so do you expect he will have anything but sycophants? A great leader develops capable people under them so they have different goals opinions, of course that leader is still is the final decider (the buck stops with them), and if things go south, they take over ship. Too often corporate American dont do that. They find someone else to blame. Corporate is the greatest pyramid scheme in the world, and they call my business a pyramid scheme. Lol

@nyl, having personally interacted with Stankey, but not JD, I can't argue about JD's person beyond what I saw at townhalls. Stankey on the other hand was a straight up jack-a– to everyone around him

It was the other way around, i know someone who personally interacted with JD and JD is a pretty stuck up guy, his way or the highway kinda guy. JD doesnt talk to people around him and just go straight to his office... whereas Stankey seemed more like a politician, hes just as incompetent as JD not sure about being nice but JD definitely is an a–hole.

That WSJ article is interesting, but not surprising. Stank is a cartoon bully and he & Randy had no idea what they were getting into with WB and no idea what to do with it now.

Being the WSJ, they completely ignore the fact that thousands of people are paying for their hubris while these clowns will be able to retire to a private island after they wreck it all.
