When I was no longer on payroll, management confided in me that there was a bid out to Singapore to eventually replace my former peers.

I hear Bangalore is hot in the summer :)
Take as trip, enjoy the sites, be polite, wish them luck, tell them only the approved processes that are documented. Review the documentation, cash your check =, there is a lot to be said for the actual experience needed to complete these processes.
