My question goes towards finding out whether the leadership is planning to further the outsourcing to some parts of the company that haven’t been the subject of outsourcing yet? If that is, in fact the case, what parts of the company are prime candidates for outsourcing in the near future?

Much of the Accenture deal is employees will train overseas cheap labor then be severed and little re-badging of current employees
Heard Accenture deal will be announced in week or two they were just waiting for iphone launch.
I remember seeing my former managers CCNA certificate, he told me he never has had a chance to apply it to work even one time. My current manager and I were talking about AT&T wanting us to upgrade our skills such as the CCNA and other certifications. I asked how many of these positions would be available after all the outsourcing and contracting. He didn't know and he saw my point. Why bother getting these skills upgraded when you know the position won't be there.
Outsourcing doesn't always mean employees get re-badged, sometimes they get severed after training the contracted employee from overseas

I hope everyone that works behind a computer all day realizes that your job can be outsourced, and probably will be. The more workers T can outsource, the better. After all, it’s all about making the C suite look good.

The fact that vulture capitalists are circling a company this large, which once was a rock solid blue chip investment with a impregnable monopoly position is particularly sad and ominous. Way to destroy an American icon Randall Stank!

When I was a Tech, the Company tried this in California. They called it “Stall Loading.” Took the place of Yard supply room. They removed all materials in the supply room and forced us to order daily or every other day our required supplies. They even had single max ordering limits. It was a mess. Failed miserably. Orders incomplete or completely wrong. Techs stealing from each other’s deliveries. Brought back the supply room after 3 months.
Face it folks, all jobs can be outsourced or use contractors. No one is safe.
If billing operations is being outsourced, credit & collections can’t be far behind.

Definitely. AT&T has no expertise or specialty anymore. It's simply an aggregator of IT, engineering, communication, entertainment, finance, marketing, and sales functions for which it seeks the lowest bidder from body shops like Tech Mahindra.
If your role has you behind a computer all day you can be outsourced.
