Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Accenture Outsourcing: Why not to tell us directly what is really going to happen to our jobs?

This is such a coward way to communicate major changes that are going to impact thousands of families.

Why not to tell us who is going to keep their job and who should start looking elsewhere?

Years and years of knowledge, loyalty and experience flew out of the window without spec of respect toward us.

Guess all that talk about importance of communication, community a honesty goes down the drain when it comes to saving some cash.

The lack of detail in original posts on this site really makes me wonder about some of the people that work here. Why not provide details so we can all understand what is happening and where it is happening.

Do you know more today on your end date than you did 9 months ago? It would be interesting to know as they face challenges on confidential customer information including government being exposed to foreigners. Let your Congress representatives, media, etc Know!!!!

You are only money to AT&T. They want you to hold on to hope that you have a job. The reality is.. they will be using you for knowledge transfer to Accenture. Then you are gone. Thus money paid towards the debit owed.

Stop with the tax cut c-ap constantly. The tax cut was for everyone, not just AT&T. I fail to see how you are paying for it, since you got a tax cut too. Since you are too lazy to research it, tax revenues taken in by the Federal government went UP after the tax cut went into effect. So, how are you paying for it?

Because you are nobody, it is none of your business. Remember the tax cut yeah that was not for you to benefit from, it was you to pay for. Same with all the roll backs of water wait and almost everything that is being pushed through by this administration. When they say there just isn’t enough mon t, they mean for you. Thanks for your support. 2020 ... all the way to the bank, s—ers.

Thousand of people are not a lot of people? If you were one of the unfortunate one's outsourced like myself I don't think you would be stating not a lot of people.....My whole IT org with folks who have supported the company for years, very technically savvy folks with a vast knowledge working weekends, late evening to deliver major products, services and applications and most only about 4-5 yrs away from MR75

NPS scores in the dirt, clear comments from employees that management is not trusted. So AT&T could help fix this by A - treat its people ethically and with integrity or B - take the Thanos approach and wipe out all the “ungrateful” employees. Looks like they taking option B

This is the core of the problem:

Because the need you to stay until they decide you are no longer needed.

Good question. Unfortunately this is how they do it. Vague announcement with no details and have to wait. When I was outsourced to Amdocs in 2010 the wait was only about a month. This time Maggie Weakland said within 60 days. Up to two months of waiting to find out if you still jave a job? Nice. :(

Accenture Outsourcing? Huh? I know about IBM outsourcing (much lower numbers than was originally tossed about) and read about Tech Mahindra (not a lot of people). What's the deal with Accenture? What percentages of people are going?

Why change now? It wasn't done on Amdocs, IBM, DCX, or any other transfer.

Should you know more... Sure. Will AT&T tell you? No.
